Issue 20 Sep/Oct 2026

This issue is made possible with the support of our sponsor, Jingkun Chinese Arts. At Commonage Projects in Bethnal Green, Sara Graça's Missing Magenta treats image-making as performance, producing prints whose colours drift because the magenta is missing. Mia Shaly's Space of Love, at The 1932 Hotel & Spa in Cap d'Antibes, paints five forms of love alongside an interest in the body's chemistry. In South London, SOFT GROUND brings Sol Bulteel and Chia-Ning Yeh to Nunhead Cemetery, where work made with fungi and microorganisms proposes kinship and collaboration as forms of resistance. The issue closes with a look back at Palimpsest, The Collapse of Form at Pulchri Studio in The Hague, where Zhang Zikang, Tong Zhengang and Zhongnai each took up the idea of the overwritten page through paper, painting and moving image.
