Gigi and the Teaspoon projects

Curator Gigi and the Teaspoon projects.

Gigi's curatorial practice focuses on creating multisensory experiences that allow audiences to connect with visual art beyond sight – through sound, smell, and taste. By offering time and additional sensory tools, I encourage deeper emotional connections, not just intellectual understanding.

The name Teaspoon Projects itself holds multiple meanings. One inspiration comes from an essay by Georges Perec, who urges us to question the meaning of everyday objects – like a teaspoon – and to pay attention to the mundane details we often overlook. The other meaning reflects hospitality and intimacy: inviting people in for tea, sharing ideas and nourishment slowly, one teaspoon at a time.

More about Gigi's practice, see ISSUE 10.
